April 15th - WHC Spring Field Hunter Championship
Open to Hunt Club Members ONLY
This new division will be held in conjunction with the MFHA Field Hunter Qualifier described below! Champion and Reserve Champion will be pinned, ribbons to 6th place. Juniors compete with adults! There are three classes in the division:
1.) Field Hunter Under Saddle - $35.
2.) Hunter Course - jumps to 2'3" with higher options - $35.
3.) Handy Hunter Course - jumps to 2'3" with higher options - $35.
Or enter the division for $100. Members may also enter the "Best Dressed Turnout" or Appointments Class of the MFHA Qualifier (see below) for $35!

"BEST DRESSED TURNOUT" - this is an old-school "Appointments Class" and is optional for Qualifier competitors and open to all WHC members and past members! This is for the "Best Dressed" rider and horse, and if you have a tack trunk full of hunt appointments and want to show in ONLY the Turnout class, you can! This is an unmounted class and a full list of appointments is in the attachment from the MFHA below! The appointments suggestions are from a bygone era in foxhunting, when riders wore silk top hats and no one rode with a saddle pad so that you achieved "closer contact" with your horse. And several members have appointments to loan for this class, contact MFH Melody or Jt. MFH Theresa Lazares, if they don't have what you need, we'll try and find it!
