WHC Hunter Schooling Horse Show - 10 am Saturday October 16th: The show starts with three Hunter Hack classes followed by six championship divisions including:
1.) Ground Pole Division
2.) Cross-Rail Division
3.) 18" Division
4.) 2' Division
5.) 2'3" Division
6.) 2'6" Division
Each division includes three classes, an Under Saddle Class, a Hunter Over Fences Class and an Equitation Over Fences Class, with championship and reserve championship ribbons awarded in each division! This show will be held in the hunt club arena, classes are $20. per class or $50. per division. You may enter multiple divisions too!
We'll have two Specialty Classes during the lunch break, we're bringing back our popular "Stirrup Cup All Day" where riders are given a shot of "courage" (port or sherry, the traditional Stirrup Cup before a hunt served from a silver platter) to carry mounted at a walk, trot and canter both ways of the ring and riders may be asked to trot an obstacle to break a tie, the rider with the most libation in their cup at the end wins! Entry fee is $20.
And for the kids, we have the Costume Lead-line Class and hope to see lots of Halloween costumes on young riders and horses, this is always a crowd favorite! Entry fee is $20. Questions on the horse show, email Jackie Fleckenstein at [email protected].

Saturday Hunter Pace
A Hunter Pace will run concurrently with Saturday's Horse Show! If this will be your first Hunter Pace, email us back and we'll send you our Hunter Pace 101 Q & A! The Pace starts at 10 am and the last team will go on at 3 pm. If you don't have a partner, we will find you one and there will be three flights for walk-trot riders to those used to galloping behind the huntsman and hounds, all riding disciplines are welcome! Adults are $30. and juniors are $20. and you can ride in the Hunter Pace and Horse Show classes that day! WHC Hunter Trials - 10:30 am Sunday October 16th - We have an exciting new format for this year's Hunter Trials! The morning classes include two under saddle classes for juniors and adults before the Second Flight Derby Class with a classic Hunter Round and a Handy Hunter Round. After the lunch break we'll have the very popular Family Under Saddle Class, Working Hunter Pairs Over Fences, Hunt Teams with three riders over fences, our First Flight Derby with a classic and handy hunter round, and finish with our John P. Brooks MFH Memorial Field Hunter Class! Our prize list with details of all the classes and entry fees is attached. AND we'll be awarding beautiful coolers donated by our terrific sponsor Olson's Tack Shop to the High Point Senior and High Point Junior riders for the day!
